4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your knowledge bases and documents at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

5. Chrome Extension

The DataPeeps Web Clipper Chrome extension allows you to save web content to your Memory or Knowledge Base. When you use the extension:

Data we collect when you clip a page:

• Page text content (only from the page you are actively clipping)
• Page title and URL
• Text you select for clipping

When you use the visual reading fallback:

• A screenshot of the visible tab (only when you explicitly approve it, and only when no text could be extracted from the page)
• The screenshot is processed server-side to extract text and is not stored

Data we do NOT collect:

• Browsing history or activity on pages you do not clip
• Data from pages you visit but do not interact with via the extension
• Cookies, form data, or passwords from websites

The extension only activates when you click its icon or use the right-click context menu. It does not run in the background or monitor your browsing. Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted session storage and are cleared when you close your browser.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors, and analytics tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
